WILD ROOTS AND RATATOUILLE
Served from a mountain top farm in Chelsea, Vermont, Wild Roots and Ratatouille is an enchanting culinary experience. Completely beguiling and infused with a life all its own, this new series is an invitation to see how truly magnificent food comes about. No one leaves uninspired or unchanged.
Each week two life-long friends and superb cooks, Karen Menge and Tracy Penfield, choose splendid ingredients from the garden, or from roadside stands and local farms, and then conspire and dream up a one of a kind meal. The alchemy is palpable as the camera drifts from the underside of a perfect eggplant in Tracy’s garden onto the rims of elegant glasses being passed around, shimmering with the luminous golden light of handmade cider. Sitting down to
eat with their families is an event, filled with magnetic conversation and extraordinary tastes that linger.

The afternoon glow is brightening the bamboos, the fountains are bubbling with delight, the soughing of the pines is heard in our kettle.
